Here I come!

I had just finished writing something to whoever ends up reading this, and wanted to add a picture for your enjoyment, only to have the entire post disappear. Here’s an abridged version of what I had just finished typing out. :( Things are going well so far! First night in London spent with Andrew via WarmShowers following putting my bike back together at London-Gatwick Airport. He was kind enough to show me around Brixton and give me advice/directions for my way up to visit Sarah in Luton. On my way to Luton, I obviously stopped for coffee. Managed to find Prufrock and the Department of Coffee and Social Affairs. Cycling here is a little different than cycling in Canada. The roads are much more narrow, and some of the traffic patterns are a little different. I think I am getting the hang of it though! Even with the copious amounts of gear on my bicycle. Saturday was spent with Sarah the tour guide! She was kind enough to show me around London and give me the highlights tour! Much to my dismay, the highlights tour did not include meeting Emma Watson, but we did make it around to the majority of Central London’s touristy spots! Today I’m trying to get some things squared away before making my way towards France tomorrow. It’ll likely take me two-riding days to get to Dover. Doing my best to try and line up more warmshowers hosts. I don’t care much for the idea of paying 15GBP for a campsite every night - that would blow my budget much too quickly So, if I don’t hear back from potential hosts, I may have my first taste of wild-camping tomorrow night! Wish me luck! Check the photos page/my instagram for more photos!

Best, Gavyn
