Hey, that's no way to say goodbye

I'm sitting in a coffee shop trying to figure out where the last three months of spring/summer have gone. I am roughly two and a half weeks away from being BC bound, and there is plenty to be done.

I have nine days of work remaining, lucky me, they are all in a row! Normally we don't have to work nine days straight, but that's just how it worked out when I switched shifts with a co-worker to have today off. My last day of work will be the 9th, and things only get crazier after that. I do quickly want to acknowledge how glad I am to have had the opportunity to work in coffee for the past ~15 months at Fools and Horses. It has provided many growing experiences in both my coffee knowledge, and my abilities to excel in a fast paced, high volume cafe setting. I'm a little sad to be leaving some truly great co-workers and some amazing regular customers. You might say that coffee becames my passions. Next week I have a dentist appointment, a haircut appointment, then I'm off to Ontario with Aled for another friend's wedding. We're aiming to make it back to Manitoba by the evening of the 14th, so I can finish packing, then be BC bound with my parents on the 17th.

My time in BC before my flight to London on September 5th isn't any less chaotic. Crankworx Whistler's Red Bull Joyride goes ahead on the 20th, my brother flies in for a visit the same day, and my soon-to-be former co-worker, Tyson, and his roommate Ben, are going to be in BC on vacation. The remainder of the ~two weeks will be spent visiting family, hiking, going to a family friend's wedding in Victoria, and re-acclimatizing to cycling up and down hills while fully loaded with gear.

It's a pretty crazy time, I'm a little torn between allowing myself to lament the everything I am leaving behind in Manitoba, and embracing the fever pitch of excitement for the adventures to come!
